Project description

This Space Base is a place where astronauts and scientists can live for many months or years at a time. This base has a kitsch, storage space, lounge, study room, sleeping quarters, robot launch pad, bathroom and a giant table with computers. This base is equipped with airlocks at each entrance and exits with a state of the art space garage and space patio. There is some much gravity on the moon but most things are screwed to the base with the floating objects on velcro or tether. The space garage has one space car and the patio has a few trees on an experimental basis with chairs and tables to enjoy the view. The source of light is different lighting panels around the base and multiple solar panels strategically placed on the exterior. There are menial windows but a 180 degree dome provides light and optics. Water runs through the base with the common phrase “today coffee is tomorrow’s coffee”, the water is reused but water is also extracted from the water filled raters on the moon. The supply ship from earth provides basic necessities like food and hygienic products. Walls and beams are made of multiple layers of titanium, kevlar and strong steel alloys. The glass from the 180 dome and the covering from the patio and garage are made of fused silica glass. The interior chairs and counters/tables are made of steel and carbon fibers. All of the bathroom is reused to make light and move things within the station. Much of the oxygen is generated by a system similar to MOXIE on the perseverance rover where it takes the chemicals on the space environment and converts it into breathable chemicals. This base is an ideal design which would be a great place for scientific individuals to live and experiment.
