The aim of our project named Hack the Moon is to create a more livable environment on the Moon. First of all, we started the design of the moon base with Tinkercad. After the 3D designs were completed, we started the printing process. After the printing processes were completed, we started to combine the parts and design the base. We should mention that it was an incredibly exciting and instructive process for us.
The features of our moon base are as follows:
Water production system: Using the oxygen produced by photosynthesis of the plants inside, our system produces water from the air and stores it in tankers. A filtration system has also been added. In this way, we meet the need for water. Producing water will make many jobs easier.
Energy: Our base has a spacecraft that can generate its own energy with solar panels. In addition, the energy required by lighting and computers is provided by solar panels on the ceiling.
It is also very important to do sports in the lunar environment. Our treadmill is fixed to the ground and astronauts can secure themselves by fixing themselves to the treadmill.
All the energy needs are provided by solar panels and this energy is stored with lithium-ion batteries.
Food: We have added an automatic irrigation system to the greenhouse system. In this way, we planned to meet the food needs. We also designed a food warehouse.
Physical environment: There is a bedroom for our astronauts. There are sleeping bags fixed to the wall.
We also have a telescope for observation.
Transport: We have designed a vehicle for exploration on the Moon, which uses solar energy. In this way we can uncover many mysteries.
