Project description

The moon is 238,900 miles away. You cannot walk there, drive, or take a plane. In order to navigate the solar system and reach the moon, it is necessary to use rocket transportation. So, for our Moon Camp project, we have designed a rocket that will take you to the moon and back at a rapidly quick speed of 58,000 km/h. The first component is a nose cone with a flatter top in order to reduce the drag and increase the lift. In addition, three sharp fins allow for less weight, but the unique ability to cut through the air. These are both connected to a cylinder-shaped frame that gives it more strength against internal pressure, less weight, and a larger area for astronauts. Inside of a rocket frame is usually the fuel, oxidizer, pumps, and nozzle. In our TinkerCad creation, you can witness the rocket taking off in action!
