Project description

The Moon Rover has been compartmentalised into two parts, the Driving Compartment and the Multipurpose Compartment. The separation of the compartment allows for continued use of the rover when one part is damaged. The top of the rover has been kitted with solar panels. The solar panels allow for long distance travel away from power sources as long as there is light. 6 wheels designed to traverse the dusty shifting terrains of the Moon. With spike like protrusions to increase traction and friction. Batteries and torches placed below the Driving Compartment to allow for a low centre of mass to reduce toppling in the low gravity environments of the Moon. An extra set of multidirectional wheels under the Multipurpose Compartment to allow for flexible movement when detached.
