Project description

Moon Camp Year 5 2021-2022

In this report, we will explain our journey during Moon Camp.

*Ps: during the time we were doing moon camp, some people joined and some left*

At the start of November, we started off with Diya, Sansita, Akshath, Madhav and Prem. The first day, we were testing out the available tools, so we know what we’re working with, whilst trying to create our base.

We started with four dome shapes and circular tubes to join the domes. Each dome represented: greenhouse, edibles, water and research. In the middle of the map, we added two greenhouse shapes, for oxygen and living spaces.

A few weeks later, we all agreed to change the style of our base and make it more ‘modern’. We deleted most of our shapes except the 2 greenhouse shapes. Instead of domes, we used 2 dice shapes stacked on top of each other. We used hexagonal shaped tubes to join the dice. In one of the greenhouse shapes, we put a large grey platform in the middle of the shape to create the two shapes.

We have added solar panels on each of our posts on 31st March. We also added stairs to the greenhouse. We also added the desk and bedside table.

We hope that you all like our model and ideas as we have lots of fun in making it.
