Project description

Our rocket ship is powered by the sun. The solar panels allow for a greener way to ascend into space. Rockets already release an extreme amount of emissions into the atmosphere, the use of gas only makes it worse. Solar energy is a renewable resource, cost efficient, and safer for the environment. Our rocket features everything a normal spaceship would, however it is safer and more energy efficient. The use of solar power is a major innovation in space technology. NASA released the Solar Electric Propulsion (SEP), which featured the use of solar power energy as an alternative energy source. In our design, we also added an additional source of gas, however the preferred method is the solar panels, due to the lack of fossil fuels and the emissions it releases into the atmosphere. In conclusion, our design is both innovative and efficient.
