Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

To start our project we divided into two groups of three. In the first group Alba, M.ª Ángeles and María were in charge of making the base from which the rocket takes off. In the second group Natalia, Alba and Nazaret were in charge of making the structure of the rocket itself. The first day we took care of looking for some reference models in tinkercad, after that the second group began to build the rocket and then we watched videos to perfect its structure. Also the first group began to build the base. On the second day the first team finished their base, just as the first group was finishing the rocket. The third day we finished the rocket and added some details to the base of it to decorate a little and that it was not so bland. Finally, we add the colors to the two structures and save the project.

Why did you choose this location?

We chose this location because it seemed like a good place to locate our moon camp.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

We would use various very resistant materials to create our moon camp, we plan to build what is just and necessary first

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

We will provide water to astronauts based on a potable water source installed outside

We will provide food to the astronauts thanks to a garden installed inside the camp

We will provide power through manufactured drugs

We will provide air to the astronauts using already equipped oxygen cylinders
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

The astronauts would get up early and carry out their tasks, then take a break to eat and finally check their supplies and materials obtained during the day.
