Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

Hello everyone, we are the HWFL-JYJ team. If we live on the moon, we don’t want to see another habitable place destroyed by us. The earth is now full of rubbish and thousands of small animals are on the verge of extinction. Therefore, what our moon camp wants to show most is the use of clean energy and the recycling of garbage. We use pollution-free solar energy in the camp to generate electricity, and the residence is equipped with ENERGY & WASTE RELAY STATION, so that we live on the moon without pollution. Of course, our other idea is the Internet, we have 100G NETWORK HUB PART on the moon, so that we can communicate easily. In addition, we have also designed multi-functional trolleys, three-story houses with different functional zones, and food factories to meet our needs on the moon.

Close to the Lunar Poles

Why did you choose this location?

Because the original intention of our design is to allow people to live on the moon for a long time, the life of people close to the moon will be more convenient.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

Our energy supply and garbage recycling are inseparable from the pipeline, so we will first plan the location of the pipeline and then gradually build the other parts of the lunar camp based on the design drawings. In the choice of materials, we give priority to degradable materials, which is in line with our original intention of not wanting to destroy the lunar environment.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water

Air

Water we can rely on the support of chemical reactions or the supply of the earth,and we design the POWER STATION AND WATER STORAGE TANK part to support the water supply.

We design the food farm to supply food

We design the POWER STATION to use solar energy to provide clean energy

Our air passes through the pipeline from Energy & WASTE RELAY STATION and POWER STATION AND WATER STORAGE TANK. So that it can be supplied to the places where oxygen is needed.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

One day astronaut Frank, wakes up from his residence and uses 100G ultra-fast network to browse the latest information. Then he uses the clean energy transmitted from the pipeline to process the food we produced in the food farm on the moon ,and starts a beautiful day. After the meal, he drives the multifunctional lunar rover to find other astronauts to complete today’s work. They can work, rest and entertain normally in the car. After get off work, Frank returns home. After dinner, he uses the space telescope upstairs to observe the vast space, which opens up endless reveries…
