Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

Our team have set up a moon camp, which has done of a very resistant material versus meteorites and ultraviolet rays. Inside we can find six rooms, that are:
– green house that works with solar energy
– Bedrooms with bathroom
– Laboratory with offices
– Gym and recreation areas with dining room and living room
– greenhouse to grow your food
– machinery space and facility maintenance
It has security measures to avoid losing oxygen and solar panels to have energy

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the Lunar Poles

Why did you choose this location?

we have chosen this site because there is less thermal oscillation and have always solar energy

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

We plan to built the lunar station with material that cover and protects us from ultraviolet radiation, with a structure that does not fall. We will recycle the ship’s materials

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

We will recycle water by storing urine and purifying and recycle gray or residual water

we will plant fruit and vegetables in the greenhouse. We will take the proteins and carbohydrates in a tetra brick

Energy will be obtained with solar panels

They get air with the plans that they grow. And with air purifying machines that recycle it

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

After breakfast, the astronauts must work in their laboratory for a few hours, then they must check the greenhouse and the maintenance rooms of the machines. At noon they will have lunch and will have free time to play, read, draw or whatever they prefer. In the afternoon they should work another two or three hours and then do two or three hours of sports, after this they should wash up, have dinner and go to bed to rest.
