Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

This moon camp has 3 bedrooms, for 2 person each one, there are too 2 bathrooms, a laboratory and green houses for grow some vegetables, fruits and cereals. This base is designed for 6 persons. It has too solar panels for have energy in all he base. It´s made of super resistant and transparent materials and the tubes connect all the rooms to the central one, the kitchen/living-room. The astronauts have their exercise routine too for not to lose muscular mass, and stay health.

Close to the Lunar Poles

Why did you choose this location?

Because there is less thermal oscillation and there is always solar energy

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

We will use recycled materials from the moon itself, others that we will bring on the ship and some that we will print right there with a 3D printer that we will take from earth

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

we will recycle the water all the time and purify it

We will plant our own vegetables in the greenhouse and we will bring the proteins from the moon packed

We will obtain it from the solar panels, and we will store it in large batteries

we will recycle the air with purifiers, and the greenhouse plants will also help us
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

After breakfast, the astronauts must work in their laboratory for a few hours, then they must check the greenhouse and the maintenance rooms of the machines. At noon they will have lunch and will have free time to play, read, draw or whatever they prefer. In the afternoon they should work another two or three hours and then do two or three hours of sports, after this they should wash up, have dinner and go to bed to rest.
