Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

We are a team of three, cristofer, zafiris, giorgos. Together with our classmates we are going to work together in order to survive on the Moon. We are students in the 9th Primary School of Komotini, Greece. We started Tinkeringunder the guidance of our teacher Marina Molla face to face in the classroom and soon had our own classroom in Tinkercad. We are going to drill on the Lunar poles for water. Our work is very important.
Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Why did you choose this location?

Water is necessary for our survival on the Moon. Our classmates depend on us. We drill for water, store it and then transport it to the lava tubes.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

Here on the poles we used 3D printed material to build our camp. We live and work here short periods and then go to our other base camp which  is under the surface of the Moon in the lava tubes.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

We drill for water and supplythe rest of our team. We also have and plants.

We grow our food. When necesssary we visit our friends. Regularly we get food and other supplies from Earth.

We have a solar panel generator .

We are not self suficient and need our team mates in the lava tubes.

Most of the day we drill, store  and transport water. We also grow our food.
