Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

We are a team of three 5th graders, Panagiotis, Nagia nad Marinow. We are students in the 9th Primary School of Komotini, Greece. We started Tinkering face to face in the classroom and soon had our own classroom in Tinkercad. 
Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Lunar lava tubes

Why did you choose this location?

We decided to make our Moon camp under the Surface of the Moon for protection of cosmic radiation, meteorites and extreme temperatures.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

We used inflatable domes for camp.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

We recycle water and have plants.

We have our garden.

We use solar energy.

We have plants and regolith.

Living on the Moon is an adventure. We learn new things every day. We test, watch, listen, share, train and enjoy the Moon and our Cosmos.
