Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

We named our base Red neck land in homage to the hidden genius of Loïck Girard.

On our base we want to welcome 3 astronauts who will take care of it for an indefinite period.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar poles

Why did you choose this location?

Because the temperature there is much milder than the extreme temperatures of the faces that are too cold or too hot.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

To build our base we will use a 3D printer with filament coils of different materials.

Water
Food
Electricity
Air
Protection

Water recovery system, we will recover water from our urine and use other technology.

Making farms in glass domes we will eat the plants inside our base and we will

Base powered by battery that will be recharged with solar energy (a part of the base will be designer to batteries

Used electrolysis, put plants, we will recover the air of the plants that has the inside of our base.

Solid and hermetic without windows, to protect yourself from the sun you need solar shields like polyethylene. Pool area to protect from radiation.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

For a day, we will do sports, take care of the plants recover our harvest, explore the territory, study the lunar rocks and something more banal.
