Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

Our moon camp project is a special base situate on the moon, it have got some solar panels, a laboratory, one white stock, a capsule that inside have got threes, a robot that have got a cam and is recording everything that happened in the moon base, some houses for the astronauts, a big capsule to protect us from meteorites and the control center that is where all conversations with the Earth are carried out.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Shackleton crater

Why did you choose this location?

We chose to build it in a shackleton crater because we must catch solar energy from the sun and it is easier to work in the shadow.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

We had thought to build the base with laton, steel, iron and plastic because those are resistant materials you can get most of them easily.

Water
Food
Electricity
Air
Protection

To drink water, we brought hundreds of bottles of water to be able to drink them in the long term. When we run out of water, in order to have drinking water ,we get it from our breast because when we breathe the humidity of the environment rises and when it condenses we can extract the water. And in this way we are never out of water.

We provide ourselves with food, mainly that which we brought from earth, we also have other ways, such as where the trees are, there are some that bear fruit, and they were run out of food from these two options, we use a new invention, which is a 3D printer but of food what can it print cells and organisms to do to make the objects it makes edible.

We provide ourselves with solar panels outside at the station. We use sunlight because it is unlimited and clean

We do it a tank that converts the air in the water into oxygen.

We use materials that can withstand the temperature of space such as titanium, aluminum and magnesium

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

You wake up and you are going to have breakfast. Later we have to check if there are meteorites nearby or analyse pieces of land other planets we have visited. A few hours later we see if there is intelligent life with our trackers, finally we eat our dinner and we are going to sleep.
