Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2019-2020

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the Lunar Poles

Why did you choose this location?

Because there is no light during several eclipses of the year, geothermal power can be generated when there is no light.

Electricity
Air

The water is heated with underground ice and becomes water.

Food is grown in underground greenhouses, which control the amount of sunlight

Electricity is generated from heat and solar energy

The air comes from oxygen in the regolith.
How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Which materials would you use?

I plan to build the ground entrance in an oval shape (because the oval shape is the most economical material). The moon’s regolith was used as a building material so that the material would not have to be transported from earth.
The Moon environment is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them.

I use the earth’s surface to block radiation and defend against meteorites, and the oxygen in the regolith to breathe to the astronauts.
Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

I plan to let the astronaut wash a face to brush one’s teeth to get up at 7:00 in the morning to sort out the interior, start exercising at 7:30, 8:30 start eating breakfast, 9:00 go exploring, at 10:00 to 11:30 summarize exploration results, 11:30 to rest and prepare lunch, lunch at 12:00, 12:30 to 14:00 siesta, 14:00 to 15:00 exercise, 15:00 to 16:00 experiment, 16:00 to a ticket, ticket is to study the same, the same prepare supper, 18:00 dinner, free activities, after 22: 00 shower and sleep.
