In Moon Camp Discovery 2019-2020 each team’s mission was to 3D design only one component of a Moon Camp using Tinkercad. Teams could choose to design the:

– Lunar lander

– Astronauts quarters

– Lunar rover

Moon Camp Discovery is a non-competitive mission for beginners. All teams that submited an entry that complied with the guidelines received a participation certificate and their project was shared on the Moon Camp online platform.

Project description

Small lunar base with tunnels and underground compartments for the protection of radiation and asteroid impacts. It has experimental greenhouses for agriculture as well as animal-farm compartments. Communication antennas, storage tanks, as well as maintenance of vehicles for travel to mineral extraction sites and underground aquifers. Elevated main building to avoid the effects and friction of lunar dust. All facilities have access to hygiene. It has equipment for the use of solar and geothermal energy, as well as refrigerators and fans to keep the temperature stable. Built mainly with materials from the Moon itself.
