In Moon Camp Discovery 2019-2020 each team’s mission was to 3D design only one component of a Moon Camp using Tinkercad. Teams could choose to design the:
– Lunar lander
– Astronauts quarters
– Lunar rover
Moon Camp Discovery is a non-competitive mission for beginners. All teams that submited an entry that complied with the guidelines received a participation certificate and their project was shared on the Moon Camp online platform.

Project description
Wheel robot (mobot) has been named SILVER LIZARD because it looks like a lizard and it is silver. We projekt him to explore Moon.
That mobot has been inspired Mars exploretion mobots. Wheel are fastened at arms with springs for absorbing shocks. Wheels are controllable and they are driven by electromotors.
For power has robot two options. Photovoltaic panels and battery pack.
These panels working under Sun Lighting – in Nearside of Moon.
Battery bringing power in shadows or Farside of Moon. Battery type can be Hydrogen/Oxygen cells.
Mobot is equipped with several cameras for overview, details – high resolution. Infrared. Pictures are used for navigation – comparing pictures with Moon maps. And for explorations … sending to lunar orbiter or directly to Moonbase or Earth.
For exploring is mobot equipped for direct examination and collecting examples. Direct examination is available through spectrometer … detecting reflected spectrum and compare with different materials in memory. Or collecting … by a robotic arm and “”seated”” by belt inside of mobot. The robotic arm can also catch the drilling machine if need.
The proposed mobot is versatile and universal for Moon exploration.
I like him … because it looks like a smiling lizard.
