In Moon Camp Discovery 2020-2021 each team’s mission was to 3D design only one component of a Moon Camp using Tinkercad. Teams could choose to design a:

– Lunar lander

– Moon Base

– Lunar rover

– Rocket

– Lunar Orbital Space Station

Moon Camp Discovery is a non-competitive mission for beginners, open worldwide to students aged up to 19 years old. All teams that submitted an entry that complied with the guidelines received a participation certificate and their project can be seen on the Moon Camp Discovery 2020 – 2021 gallery.

Project description


This moon base has been designed for an astronaut team to live for a short period of time. During this period of time the team can research the moon environment and how to survive with difficult conditions in the moon.

This moon camp involves the following rooms:

  • Greenhouse to farm vegetables.
  • Dining room to take meals.
  • Electric power generation plant with solar panels.
  • Power distribution energy room.
  • warehouse, gym and a water treatment plant.
  • Two bathrooms.
  • research laboratory with four small divisions for different specliaties.
  • The communication center with four antennas.
  • Two bedrooms.
  • Meeting room.
  • Entertainment room.
