In a future not too far from now, astronauts will have to stay for long periods on the Moon. By participating in Moon Camp @Home you can help them by creating a 3D model of a research base where they can live and work to explore the lunar surface.

You can design a creative lunar base using Tinkercad and complete one of these challenges: design a lunar lander, a lunar rover, a rocket and a space station, or design a complete base on the Moon with astronauts quarters, a greenhouse, a gym, a laboratory and a power plant.

For more information consult the guidelines of Moon Camp @Home here.

Project description

Extraterresti is a family team: Claudia (11),Giacomo (6) and Irene (Tutor). We design the Moon balloons. The base is made of a serie on “balloons” representing the “rooms” connected by telescopic tunnels. The central ballon is the greenhouse, the life heart of the base. On one side there are the services rooms (bedrooms, toilet, gym and kitchen); on the other side there are the workspaces (computer-room and laboratory). All the rooms are connected to the central greenhouse. The telescopic passages can be transported to the moon as short tunnels and can be use to easily isolate rooms in case of incident.
