Moon Camp Pioneers Gallery 2020-2021

In Moon Camp Pioneers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Fusion 360. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

In our project we tried to find simple and efficient solutions having also in mind the possibility of realizing them. Majority of those solutions was based on our experience that we gained from verified sources. We hope that this project meets Your expectations and further more gains Your interest. The heat will be produced by cooling the nuclear reactor, the heat from the reactor will be transferred to the base. We plan to build our base using 3d printing. The building will be made using the DMLS technique. Metal will ensure the strength and stability of our base. The floor can be made using the FDM technique – it would be made of rubber so that it would not be that cold.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

We choosed the clavius crater, because water was found there and its on the sunny side of the moon. This way the PV instalation is going to work more efficiently.

How do you plan to build your Moon Camp? Describe the techniques and materials you would use.

We will build our base gradually, thanks to polyethylene waste, we can build another part thanks to used waste, they are resistant to xomic rays, first we build crops, then sleeping, working space, and finally gyms

The environment on the Moon is very dangerous for the astronauts. Explain how your Moon Camp will protect them.

Our protection against this difficult environment is the polyethylene base structure, a thin layer of water that surrounds the base, which reduces the risk of copismic rays, especially to zero.

Explain how your Moon Camp will provide the astronauts with:
Water
Food
Electricity
Air

there is a lot of hydrogen in the atmosphere of the moon, in addition, the base price is located near basalt deposits, which under appropriate conditions and experiments obtains oxygen, which can also be obtained from crops and from this combination, as a result of a chemical reaction, water will be formed

The cultivated plants in the base should satisfy with food, however, regular deliveries from Earth with a supply of food should diversify the diet

Our base is mainly powered by nuclear energy, it is the most effective in this difficult environment, but in the event of a failure we have solar panels to shake the base to the arrival of rescue

Plants produce air, however, we have the necessary supply of oxygen in the warehouse, which is regularly supplied, to the extent that the basalt oxide present in the basalt on the moon will make it easier for us to obtain this life-giving element

Explain what would be the main purpose of your Moon Camp (for example: commercial, scientific, and/or tourist purposes).

Our main goal of the base is the possibility for an ordinary person to experience a vacation on the moon, after all, many of us are interested or interested in the cosmos, each of us knows the apollo missions, people are excited about it, we want and make dreams come true, so that rest on the moon is possible for everyone, not only for the rich

Describe a day on the Moon for your Moon Camp astronaut crew.

Wake up when we get up, of course, first breakfast, then a momentary gym, important to keep the tissue in the best condition, After that replenishing fluids, working in the working space, then again the gym, free time, where you can talk for a longer time together, call the family, or just spend time with yourself, after that Lunch, after the tour, work, dinner and gym, and a nap, which will regenerate your strength, such a daily schedule will allow you to avoid health problems related to low gravity and increase the efficiency of mental work
