Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

In our base there will be a gym for keeping in shape, an experiment room (analysis, research, etc.), a kind of laboratory. There will also be bedrooms for sleeping. A room to serve as a reserve where we can put equipment, tools or our astronaut outfits. A room where there will be plantations.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar equator

Why did you choose this location?

the water will be in a tank for food and for breathing there will be plantations of radishes, seaweed, beets etc. pitaya meme to stay in shape there will be a gym in our base. there will also be a laboratory, rooms. our base will have to be located on the lunar equator for the sun (for the plantations) the base will have a drill to dig (to have water) we will have several solar panels for the electricity and a room that would serve as a reserve

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

To build our base we will take materials found on the moon such as stone, earth, we will also have to take glass and some bricks with us.

Water
Food
Electricity
Air
Protection

For water, the rocket will need to be able to take a large tank of water and it will also need a drill capable of digging into the moon to collect water.
The drill will be placed under the lunar base.

For food, you will also need to bring food, small dishes prepared in advance that can withstand the trip and that can be kept for a long time.

Thanks to the sun’s rays, we will be able to install solar panels on our base and its solar panels will give electricity. We also need a giant battery that can store electricity, it will serve as a recharge.

In our base, we must be able to breathe because on the moon, there is no oxygen, so we will have to bring algae from planet Earth, we will place it everywhere in our base.

A large cover of polyethylene will be used to protect the base. This product come from reycle products.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

At the beginning of the day, he has to check the drill to draw water. Water is essential for growing vegetables. Then he goes on top of the base to take the measurement. Afterwards he will have eggs and vegetables for lunch. All day he has to do things: create mineral, take off the regolith, repair the machine and at the end of the day he can sleep quickly.
