Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

There are plenty of sources to have fun, learn and experience firstly there is an awesome place called ‘’periochi chompi’’ means hoby area and comes from greek language. First of all it has a place that is useful for any sport playes with ball like you can play volleyball, tennis or else  there is an telescope to observe the sky in periochi chompi. After that it has an canva to colour with your paint brushes. Also there is a relaxing place and it is very calming for any astronaut. And now  I estimate that the best part of periochi chompi is MOVIE PLACE. You did not hear wrong you can watch cinema in this part of hoby room and you can also write theater scripts and act them.  And another good thing that our hoby room include. And another best part of periochi chompi is library it isn’t big as you predict but it has cultural and exiting books, from encyclopedias to nowels. And there is a computer for searching and learning.. That was periochi chompi. Also there is greenhouse in our lunar base there are lots of spicies of plants in there. Also a rocket launcher a sport saloon and in this base. We shouldn’t forget the rover it is useful for any exploring. There is a big observatory in there. We use solar panels  to produce energy. There is an oxygen tank in there too. Shouldn’t forget that there is an sport saloon.

Where do you want to build your Moon Camp?

Close to the lunar poles

Why did you choose this location?

We are planning to make our lunar camp at the north pole of the moon because there are bodies of frozen water there. And not only that, in the moon’s north pole it’s almost sunny in half year.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

Using moon’s solid for building materials. While preparing for Moon Camp, we finished by integrating the products that everyone designed individually. As for the material; A substance obtained from polycarbonate and the purification of boron mine is used as a radiation insulation material to protect it from harmful effects, based on temperatures of -120/-130 degrees, lead-proof, water-resistant.

Protection

Charged particles from solar flares enrich the Moon’s surface with water-forming elements as they collide at a colossal speed of 450 kilometers per second. Based on this information, it can be said that solar winds have an effect on the surface of the moon. As the Sun bombards the Moon’s surface with photons, these particles react with the surface to form hydrogen atoms. This hydrogen moves over the lunar soil known as regolith, which contains abundant silica, and clings to the oxygen atoms there. Hydrogen and oxygen form a molecule called hydroxide. This molecule is one of the main components of water. Water production on the Moon may be due to these molecules.

Our food will be produced by greenhouses and labs. But too many of our food reserves contain by can foods and artificial grains (Thoos foods are healthy for astronauts.) made in our laboratories.

We will produce our energy with sun light, kinetic energy and biological energy. Kinetic energy that made in our sport areas produces energy that power our light recorces. Energy that we produced by Bio Energy and Sun Energy powers all of ourcamp.

Air will produced by molecular filter.Molecular filter will also provide us with carbon dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen ,and methane. We will use carbon dioxide to feed plants and we will use hydrogen and oxygen to make water. There will be four pipes connected to the four different gas tanks such as; Carbon dioxide tank, oxygen tank, hydrogen tank and methane tank. And also we will use methane for heating our base during the cold nights.

We will protect our camp from meteorites like this:
First we will discover meteorit, after that we discoverd it we lay down steel clad on tanks and some of our structer. Lastly we will move our solar panels. (However, this is unlikely because we will set up our camp where there are fewer meteorites.) Earthquikes are not big problem because we will build our buildings and structures in accordance with the earthquake.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

Hello all, I’m astronaut Jade. I’m here to introduce you to the moon base and share a day with you. First of all, I will tell you about my favorite area, the hobby room. In this hobby room, you are offered an area where you can work and study. Firstly, there is an area where you can play tennis, badminton, volleyball, etc. in this room. Next, there is a telescope with a very good lens system, which captures a large amount of light for space observation. There is an area that we can paint, especially Cole loved here. Then, I can say that we all smiled when we came across a resting area that is ideal for relaxation, for example Sarah and I love to rest there after we finish working. Then there is the Library, which I adore. I think it’s great. We have a piano here and Kate loves it and sometimes she gives us little concerts and we love it. And we have a workspace with a computer here. It’s a cozy and beautiful space that’s great for surfing the web or capturing data. And finally, this environment, where I will explain the THEATER area and complete the hobby room, offers a mix of both open-air cinema and theater. We have a very powerful wheeled rover and a few other smaller rovers. It helps us a lot in our research. There are many beautiful places like these on this moon base. Glad we came to this base.
