Moon Camp Explorers Gallery 2021-2022

In Moon Camp Explorers each team’s mission is to 3D design a complete Moon Camp using Tinkercad. They also have to explain how they will use local resources, protect astronauts from the dangerous of space and describe the living and working facilities.

Project description

The astronauts have to be able to live on the moon with resources so we created a sustainable plan that allows astronauts to live on the moon with resources such as vegetation for food and extra oxygen, fuel plants to power the homes, the homes for the astronauts to live, the oxygen plant to supply the moon camp with oxygen, the solar panels to receive extra energy from the sun itself and of course the rocket landing pad for the rocket to stay. With this design the astronauts are able to live on the moon.

Why did you choose this location?

The Solar Cadet [us] decided to explore this area of creativity and we have shipped are rocket  considering it has a smooth surface and has enough area to build a camp that we imagined where astronauts can investigate the wonders of our moon which totally rules, in total relaxation without disruption from the poles (The magnetic poles might mess up the recordings) and of course we can’t have that.

How do you plan to build your Mooncamp? Which materials will you use?

The moon camp would have a hard outer shell to protect the moon camp from asteroids preferably made of Cubic Silicon Nitride, so the oxygen could stay in that area, the houses would be made of a mixture of wood and concrete to make the buildings hard.


The atmosphere has light gases converted into water by distillation and condensation purifying and getting pure water. also, there is a water plant that provides water as well.

The food will be 100% plant-based and will grow on the trees in the area, and will provide oxygen as well as food edible for human digestion.

The power will come from solar panels placed around the camp, as secondary reserve energy we have 1 fuel plant that contains fuel that can power the camp for a few days.

For air there are trees and a plant for oxygen when the oxygen is in the camp it cant escape, and so it’ll turn into CO2 and then the trees will turn the CO2 into oxygen.

The camp is protected by a dome made of cubic silicon nitride (not on the model because it was to big) that allows the asteroids to bounce off the dome protecting the camp.

Describe a day on the Moon for one of your Moon Camp astronauts

The astronauts would come, after they are done having a pizza party they go to the research area and inspect and analyze some moon rocks, after a day of hard work they head off to their houses to enjoy more rations like ice cream and rest and communicate with their families. :]e out of their houses just to approach and have a look at the vegetation zone where they stop to munch on some rations including pizza. After they will sleep and that is the closed cycle.
